The Client:
The North Dundas Movie Committee is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization that presents movies every two weeks at the Old Town Hall in Winchester throughout the fall, winter and spring. Using a dairy-themed play on words, the ‘Night at the Moovies’ brings a move theatre experience to the town, with both matinee and evening options.
The Problem:
Their website was old and outdated. They needed a site that would maintain the simplicity of finding upcoming movies and purchasing tickets online, but with a design that was more modern and eye-catching, and optimized for search engine optimization.
The Solution:
I designed this website to be as simple and easy to use as possible. Using a one-page layout with side navigation that links to the sections on the home page, this site uses pale orange tones throughout with a vibrant blue for the buttons and hyperlinks. The dairy theme is prevalent throughout with a picture of a cow in a movie theatre in the first section, and a cartoon cow in the side navigation, as well as on the payment confirmation, cancelled, and didn’t go through pages.
The Result:
The North Dundas Movie Committee is pleased to present their new website to audiences throughout the region.
